New Computer Setup

[for Outwood Computer Club Computers]

1 BEFORE PLUGGING IN TO MAINS SUPPLY .......

Please record the following information for Outwood Computer Club records .........
These will be important in case of theft, problems, etc.

1]  Computer Make
2]  Computer Model Number
3]  Computer Serial Number
4]  Computer Colour
5]  Computer Details - any other

Click on the Internet Connections Icon

[note 'Show desktop' Tab on the right]

3 Select the 'Outwood Memorial Hall' SSID and press the 'Connect' button.
Enter the security code [case sensitive - obtain from Michael, Tony or Melvin] and connect.
4 Open 'Internet Explorer' [Blue 'e' or via left hand 'Start' Icon]
5 Click in the URL, (address bar), it should ALL highlight blue), type CAREFULLY .......
www.outwoodcomputerclub.co.uk  [http:// at beginning should not now be required]
6 You should now be viewing the club's Bulletin Board, scroll down to the very bottom
Click on the yellow text for 'Outwood Computer Club' - enter and select 'Use this web page as your only home page'.  Test it by selecting the Home Page Icon [little  house in the toolbar towards the top of the window].  You should only have ONE window available - the Outwood Computer Club Bulletin Page.
7 You should now be viewing the club's Bulletin Board (only), scroll down to the very bottom ....
Click on the yellow text for 'Outwood Community Video Club' - enter and select 'Add this web page to your homepage tabs'.  Test it by selecting the Home Page Icon [little  house in the toolbar towards the top of the window].  You should now have TWO windows available - the Outwood Computer Club Bulletin Page AND the Outwood Community Video Home Page.  If this is the case Well Done !  If not ask Michael, Tony or Melvin for help.
8 If not already present [envelope icon in the task bar] Set 'Windows Live Mail' up now.

When available or set up, Add the Hotmail Account to Windows Live Mail ?
