There is now a great new Online basics module available on Go ON - Using online public services. This module is fundable as part of the Online basics grants and you can try it out here.

Outwood Computer Club registered as a Partner UK online centre .......
Centre ID Number 3453469

Instead of having different delivery models, we’re going to be moving all centre partners onto a new, simple funding model from April 2011.

The focus will be shifting from myguide registrations to Online basics completions, and a learner will have to complete two of the four modules of Online basics to count as a completion. A completion will be worth 35, but please note that the keyboard and mouse modules won’t count towards it.

This means that instead of up-front grant funding, partner centres will be paid every month in arrears for the Online basics completions they deliver. In order to trigger the payment, centres taking part will need to have achieved a minimum of three Online basics completions in each month. That means that if you deliver three or more Online basics completions in a month, you’ll be paid 35 for each completion the following month.

We have calculated the amount of funding we need to meet this year's very challenging targets for 2011-2012. The funding should last for the entire year, but will obviously depend on levels of delivery. We'll be keeping you informed about our progress towards our targets, and about the money left in the Online basics funding pot.

To be eligible for the funding, you have to be a UK online centres partner, and you will have to register to take part. You will only need to register once, and payments will then be made each month after a simple confirmation from you that the amount is correct.

Registration for the Online basics grants is now open.
