Hi Mel, Looking at the Isherwood's photos, I seem to recognize No 013
It looks like a shop, (now gone of course), on Merrion Street. The parade after St Johns & the rest garden going towards the Grand Theater (& Tower Cinema) on the right hand side.
I seem to remember buying a very useful battery powered 45rpm record player (can't remember the make) in the mid 1950's from this shop. I took it with me when I joined The RAF in 1957. The unit was about A4 size & no more than 3 to 4" tall complete with inbuilt speakers & amp.
Regards Don Craven -
Kitson College (new window) (retired) - 19/02/18.

Mel Replied: Thanks Don, I don't recall a shop other than Lands Lane Shop - an under-insured fire, (in 1962 ?) resulted in the collapse of Isherwood's who had MANY shops and service departments throughout Yorkshire.
There MAY, of course, have been two shops in Leeds - there were two in Wakefield !

Any memories from others ??
