I am Debra Parr and I currently work in the communities directorate for WMDC concentrating on area arrangements and priority neighbourhoods. Our team is headed up by Chief Inspector Paula Booth who has tasked us with compiling a central directory of community activity district wide. In accordance with the Big Society model we are trying to ensure as many community groups as possible have a voice in the decision making process in their area and creating better opportunities for citizens to participate in discussion about their neighbourhoods. Once we have identified all the groups we then need to develop a strategy to encompass them in activity at a local level and in some priority neighbourhoods involving them in the development of Neighbourhood Agreements, the trailblazer for these agreements is the Portobello Pathfinder which is a neighbourhood agreement around crime and community safety and is due to be completed in the Autumn. If any members of the neighbourhood watch groups across
the district would like to come forward to participate in this project,
please contact Debra Parr on 01924 306776. Back to Tarn Court Police Updates Move to Tarn Court Correspondence Index Top Tarn Court Crime Reports [ 2010 | 2009 | 2008 | 2007 ]
