Boat was a mussel cutter, retired and
gutted to convert to a pleasure / live on vessel.
55ft long, 14.5ft beam,
with a 120
horse power Crossley Diesel Engine.
Origin 1902 and sailed out of YERSKE
in Netherlands until late 80's.
She was registered as Yerske41 (fleet
number) one of some 90 of this class.
Some are still working out of the North of Holland but not under sail.
Many were scrapped much the same as the UK fishing boats when they
were decommissioned. Her common name is JOHANNA but I think that
would be a recent name and not an historical one, but not totally
sure.
