Computer Club Membership & Email Addresses

The club has a 123-Reg secure mailbox............

The primary email address is mail@outwoodcomputerclub.co.uk which returns an immediate 'auto response'. Currently, Mel Ashton is monitoring incoming emails and replying as and when required. As a requirement of Club Membership, and to facilitate email exercises, it is useful to set up a HOTMAIL email address BEFORE completing the on-line Membership Form.

Use of a COMPUTER CLUB Hotmail address will protect your PERSONAL email address !
This permits 'safe' email communication and exercises between members during computer club meetings (and at other places / times if desired). Your OCC Hotmail address can, of course, be used for other personal reasons when you prefer to protect your personal email address'.

The 'conditions of Membership' must be read and accepted BEFORE completing the on-line Membership Application Form.

If other club members would like a club email address, please contact Mel using your OCC Hotmail email address. Please note that the content of messages sent to these email addresses is merely forwarded to the members' OCC Hotmail email address and is NOT available for viewing by club members or committee. If there are any reports of abuse / spam, the members email address will be deleted.

An email address will be set up as yourname@outwoodcomputerclub.co.uk provided that the email address chosen is different to ones already issued. The email need not have any text added but .......
It would be useful for club records if some or all of the following information is provided:

Full Name, address & post code;
Home and / or mobile telephone numbers;
Particular interests regarding the computer club.

The club's membership mail form can be used to request an email address AND provide additional information.

Once set up and tested - by your reply from a test email - your club email address will be added to the list above.
Please note that any PERSONAL information, (address, telephone numbers, etc.), WILL NOT
be uploaded to the internet.
