Hi Mel,
Just thought I would let you know I did go to Peters funeral. I set off in good time but got held up in the terrible traffic on Barnsley road. As the traffic was moving so slow I had time to think about Peter and how I did not appreciate all he did for me, picking me up each day at the end of the street where I lived in Outwood to take me to Isherwood's Lands Lane in the aerial riggers van he drove and how we would go to Stanley to pick his mate Geoff up who was nearly always late. What a star he was.
As you know I did ring Peter a few weeks ago
he could not not remember me but when I told him my name again
he said are you John Bolton's sister he did remember my older
brother who is the same age and went to the Thorne's youth club
at the same time as Peter.
I did get the chance to talk to Olive and
tell her how Peter looked after me and that I have never
forgotten him after 50 years and I think he was so well liked by
so many as the crematorium was so full of people paying their
respects . Mags
