Acer Aspire 5310 Laptop faulty

Now fixed by a local guy - NOT the keyboard !

Hi anyone who can help, 5310 Recovery disc info

A friends daughter's laptop has failed and won't boot into Windows.

Upgrade to Windows Vista Experience - could this have caused the problem ?

After SEVERAL MINUTES of active loading bar with
    Microsoft Corporation

At some point it gave the BLUE SCREEN with error message:

UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME

STOP: 0x000000Ed  (0x827D7030, 0xC000000E, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Can use F2 to get into bios and change things.

Tried ALT F10 for System Restore but goes nowhere.

Suggests using F8 on startup for safe mode but this is not available either.
