Hi Everyone,
A tornado went through Bobcaygeon and the surrounding area on the 8 June '11 at approximately 1500 hrs and left 110,000 people without power. That was when we lost power and it was finally restored 73 hrs later on the 11June, some residents won't have power until Tuesday. We didn't lose any trees just a few branches. We still managed to celebrate my birthday on the 10 though!
Fortunately we have propane gas so we were able to cook. We got drinking water from our Daughter's place in town and got water from the lake for bathing and flushing toilets. I felt like a pioneer, well almost, at least it is summer and I didn't have to chop a hole in the ice like a friend of ours had to many years ago!
Still it beats living in Toronto!

Keep Smiling Everyone,

Ernie.
