Dear George,
I hope that you are keeping well - we are ok here though June's hip operation still gives her some pain and limits her mobility (though she can walk short distances without the aid of crutches or a stick).  She can also manage shopping for short periods.

The enclosed invitation to Phil Gavin's, (Haggis's), SURPRISE 70th birthday party was sent by email from his daughter Pamela.  I have sent the information to all my email contacts but, as yet, have not received any replies.  I have also given Ian Lindley a copy.

Ian may have considered going IF I was to go but, with June's poor mobility, I don't want to leave her and she wouldn't enjoy all the travelling.

I have put a few comments together and will send them to Pamela by email.

As I see it, you have several options ........

1) Ignore the invitation (as most others have),

2) Accept the invitation ????

3) Reply to Pamela with any desired comments,

4) Post any comments to me and I will put them on a web page for Pamela - she may then
read some, or all, of the comments to Phil during the birthday celebrations.

5) A combination of 3 & 4

Very Best Regards,
