Hi All,
Just a few pictures from last nights activities at the
Bobcaygeon Fair where Olivia was chosen as the 152nd Bobcaygeon
Fair Ambassador, 2010. It used to be called Fair Queen until a
two years ago when a young guy entered the contest (that's him
in the second picture, he didn't wear the Tiara though) when the
name was changed and to make it "politically correct"
It was quite a night. She got some very nice gifts including a
watch and other jewellery, make-up, hair stuff and a $100 in
cash!
We thought the contest was "fixed" as it seemed to always go to
someone connected to agriculture but last night proved us wrong!
Anyway her "official" duties start today with the parade and
then handing out prizes at the various events at the Fair. Then
in November she will go to Toronto to the Royal Winter Fair and
compete in another show. The young guy, the 2008 winner who was
standing in for last years winner as she is at university in the
States, said it was a fantastic year for him. I hope it will be
the same for Olivia.
