Pam and I took a drive up to Gravenhurst  yesterday, now that we are almost retired, to see what it is like. The boat in the foreground " RMS Segwun", was built in Glasgow and assembled in Gravehurst  and was originally a side paddlewheel steamer named Nipissing II. In 1925 it was rebuilt as a twin propeller ship and named "Segwun", which means "springtime" in the Ojibway language.  It is still used as a Royal Mail Ship (RMS) as well as a pleasure boat.

We are going to plan a trip on it for sometime this summer or fall.  God willing!
There is another boat there called "Wanda III" which is 94' long and only 12' wide but it isn't ready for the summer yet, still being de-winterised.
The boat was built in 1915 in Toronto and had the same engine as a Canadian WWI minesweeper and had a speed of 24 miles per hour, quite something for that period and on Lake Muskoka!
