Saturday 2nd August, 2008
Denis suffered chest pains, (worse than usual), so telephoned for an ambulance.
He was admitted to LGI and had rigorous tests but returned home ok Sunday.
He is to stop taking Aspirin and start taking Warfarin .
Otherwise, Denis seems to be getting better and better - he has visited Leeds market,
Crown Point shopping centre, Lily's grave, and local shops on his mobility scooter.

June has been ill and very depressed for several months - initially convinced that she has cancer - and still not convinced otherwise. She has lost about 1.5 stone in weight.

Then, on 2nd May, 2009, she fell in the bedroom and suffered a badly broken left hip.
Too badly broken for a hip replacement so a titanium rod - from knee to hip - was inserted, together with some 6 / 8 screws / pins. June is currently progressing well and can manage, in house, without wheelchair or crutches. Crutches or wheelchair required for shopping, outings, etc.

Thursday 20th December, 2007
As usual, June & I visited Denis today. If there is any change it is that Denis is STILL improving !
Denis had a successful hernia operation at LGI using a spinal anaesthetic (epidural ?)
on Wednesday 10th October, 2007. He was discharged on Friday 12th and a subsequent check on 14th November proved everything to be ok.
